Today is my anniversary and has been such a wonderful day.
My husband and I transferred Grayson into his crib on Saturday night and he has been doing so good! So much better than I thought he would do. The first night he cried quite a bit, but last night (Sunday night) I laid him down and he knocked out right away! Not one tear. He is such a champ.
And even this morning, I woke up before him and went in to wake him up and get the day started. And boy today was just a good day! No photos today as I am keeping it short once again, because it's our anniversary as I mentioned and would rather spend it with my husband than writing a blog post. ;)
Morning Workout: Yoga Sculpt Total Body
Let me be honest and say that I am not a fan of yoga. I don't know what it is ... I guess I just like more cardio? But today's workout—which was a yoga sculpt workout—was just what I needed. I felt so energized and just ready for the day. Yoga may be growing on me!
Meal One: Overnight Oats
So this was my first time making and eating overnight oats. I don't know if I did it wrong but I just did not like it. It may be because they are cold? But I do know I will try another recipe another time to really see if I like them or not.
Meal Two: Coconut Yogurt + Coconut Flakes + cocoa nibs
I didn't even know coconut yogurt existed! But low and behold my local Trader Joe's had it and I tried it ... unsure of what to expect.
The consensus? It was okay... I will have to give it another shot soon.
Meal Three: Chicken Wrap
red bell pepeprs
green bell peppers
How can you not love a wrap with all these ingredients in it? So good! It totally hit the spot.
Meal Four: Angel Food Mini Muffins
These were part of my meal prep from yesterday and I cook them a few minutes longer than suggested just to make sure I didn't have a repeat of last week and undercooked it. But in the end it didn't matter because I was NOT a fan ... goodness ... today is just the day of new things to try and I hated pretty much all of it! Bummer!!
Meal Five: In-n-Out
So my husband wanted to get us burgers for dinner ... and who am I to say no to that?! Now, I could have ordered a burger protein style, but heck ... I treated myself to a nice dinner with my hubby and enjoyed every bite. In the end I am proud of myself for just keeping it to one meal and not "cheating" throughout the day. This is all about balance, my friends. This is NOT a diet but rather a lifestyle.
However, fully back on track tomorrow and looking forward to it!
